About Joanne
I hold a First Class Degree in History from the University of Warwick and a Masters degree from the University of Oxford.
I offer tutoring in History and English, with a focus on essay-writing. I am passionate about these subjects and approach teaching with energy and enthusiasm. I seek to engage students in thinking more deeply about their subject and analysis, preparing them for examinations, coursework and university style teaching. I support students in navigating material, building confidence and improving their academic writing.
I also provide advice on university applications and personal statements, guiding students through the stressful admissions process. I can also offer more specific advice on Russel Groups, Oxbridge and choosing courses.
