My teaching approach is highly personalised and student-centred. I believe every student learns differently, so I take time to understand each learner’s strengths, challenges, and preferred learning style before adapting my teaching methods accordingly. My aim is to build confidence, clarity, and genuine understanding rather than rote learning. I use a combination of clear explanations, guided practice, questioning, and practical application, ensuring students are actively engaged throughout the lesson. In music, this often includes linking theory to performance, using listening examples, and breaking complex ideas into manageable steps. I regularly check understanding and adjust the pace to suit the student. Who my lessons are for My lessons are suitable for: Primary and secondary students KS3 and GCSE Music students Beginner to intermediate piano learners Students who need structured support, confidence-building, or exam preparation I am patient, supportive, and organised, and I aim to make lessons engaging, encouraging, and tailored to each student’s needs.
