About Afiqah
Hi! I’m Afiqah, a passionate and dedicated Math tutor based in Kuala Lumpur/Selangor. I am a graduate of Kolej MARA Banting, where I completed the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme in the science stream. Although I don’t tutor IB Math, my strong academic foundation and structured approach allow me to effectively guide students from Primary to Secondary levels, including UPSR, PT3, and SPM. With years of experience helping students who struggle with numbers, I’ve learned that patience, empathy, and clear explanation make all the difference. My students often tell me they feel more confident, less anxious, and actually enjoy learning Math after just a few lessons.

Hi! I’m Afiqah, a passionate and friendly Math tutor based in KL/Selangor. I am a MARA Banting graduate under the International Baccalaureate (IB) program, with a strong academic background and experience in helping students understand and enjoy mathematics — even those who find it challenging at first! My teaching approach is student-centered and flexible. I always: 1. Assess each student’s strengths and weaknesses first to tailor lessons to their needs. 2. Focus on building strong foundational understanding, not just memorizing formulas. 3. Use step-by-step explanations, real-life examples, and lots of guided practice. 4. Encourage active participation – I ask questions, let students explain their thought process, and create a two-way learning environment. 5. Share helpful tips and exam techniques to improve accuracy and speed. 6. Whether it’s reinforcing classwork, preparing for exams, or catching up on missed topics, I adapt my teaching style to suit different learning speeds and personalities. Lesson Length Each lesson typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s level and focus areas. Qualifications & Experience Graduated from Kolej MARA Banting (Science stream – IB Programme) Strong foundation in Math, with experience tutoring students from Primary to Secondary levels Patient, friendly, and committed to helping students build confidence and improve their results. My Math tutoring lessons are perfect for:Primary school students (Standard 4–6) Secondary school students (Form 1–5) – including PT3 and SPM preparation Students who need help catching up, strengthening basics, or aiming for higher grades.
