About Becky
Hello, I am Becky, I have a BSc Hons in Biological Sciences and a PGCE in Secondary School Science.
I left teaching to pursue a career in Tech Project Management, so I haven't left STEM!!
I enjoyed teaching and love science.
On the weekends I continue to live and breath science as I volunteer for a wildlife charity and am part of the London Wildlife Trust.

I am a pragmatic teacher, relating to real life and providing examples is key to learning, (and makes it more interesting). To pass exams practise makes perfect, we will be going through many past papers.
My lesson will be split into 4 parts: Do Now (recap), Activation (learning), Demonstration (explain back and practise), and Consolidation (past papers).
The typical length of the lesson depends on the student, after the first couple of lessons we can see what works best for them. 30 mins to 1 hour.
I did a Biology degree at Queen Mary, University of London. I gained a PGCE in Secondary Science through TeachFirst and also Qualified Teacher Status.
I worked as a Science Teacher in a Secondary School for over a year, KS3 and KS4.
