About Qiyu
I am a student at the University of Iowa with three majors - BS in Actuarial Science, BS in Data Science, and BA in Mathematics. I have been serving as a tutor at UI since my sophomore year which is two year from now. Besides my successes in the undergradute courses, I have also taken many more advanced graduate-level courses and get very good grades. I have just published a paper in the fields of data science and mathematics a month ago; it can be indexed by IEEE. Moreover, currently, I am trying to applying for PhD programs within fileds of statistics and data science.

I suppose I am a patient and good teacher. Usually I will try to spend some time to review the knowledge studied before at first, since building up a solid background knowledge is very important for the further development. I will not try to take students as the same level as me since tutoring is to help those students who might feel they are not good enought. I will try to base my lessons on real life examples since it will be a lot easier for people to digest knowledge. I approach each topic one by one from the easiest to the hardest, which offer people a chance to kind of challenge themselves and try to help people love studying.
