About Lyrah

Simply put, I am a student who loves languages. I took French and Spanish at GCSE, then A-Level and I have been accepted onto five French and Spanish degrees; amongst them the University of Oxford, King's College London and University College London. Having been offered a place at Trinity College, I am no stranger to the Oxford admissions process and have also spent considerable time researching the Cambridge MML admissions both for myself and for many of my friends - who have since been offered places at the University.

About the lesson

For many, Oxford or Cambridge have been dream schools for a long period of time. Having gone through the admissions process for Oxford myself, I know how daunting it can feel. These lessons will help prepare you for every stage of the admissions process. Lessons are one or two hours in length. During this time we will work on your spontaneous conversation skills in the target language, work through dissecting and understanding unexpected texts and perfect your grammar and essay-writing skills in preparation for either of the Oxbridge admissions tests. These lessons are aimed at college students studying French and/or Spanish.

Lyrah is amazing. She was my tutor during my GCSEs, we had lessons twice a week. I admit that I felt scared of wasting money on a tutor when I first tried finding one, but lessons with Lyrah were worth every penny.

She was always very helpful and motivated to help me learn better. She seemed to always have a natural understanding of French and helped me build the same sort of thing.

I committed long term to lessons with her and I got so much support, knowledge and success back in return. I even managed to achieve three grades above my predicted in GCSE French!
