About Irina
I was born in Russia and came to the US at the age of 12. Learned English and spoke it perfectly in less than two years. I have a master's degree in physical therapy and have worked with all kinds of patients teaching them exercise.
In the meantime, I learned (self-taught) latin dances: salsa, bachata, cha-cha, merengue, etc and became a teacher of that.
Then, I went to India and studied with a yoga master, earning a certificate as a classical Hatha Yoga teacher. I have taught yoga ever since.
Soon after returning from India, I began teaching myself Spanish and went to Mexico to study in a school, online, and with friends.

I include simple breathing techniques in my teaching to calm the mind and emotions, and bring stability to the body. This makes learning much easier and faster!
Having travelled extensively, I understand the importance of being able to speak the basics well and understand the responses. At the same time, I have studied 2 languages apart from my native tongue as an immigrant. This taught me grammar as well as the nuances that each language has. Knowing this, I am able to explain what is meant by a sentence with greater ease.
