About Su Young
I am a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher with years of dedicated personal practice and a trauma-informed approach to teaching. My goal is to create supportive, personalized classes that help students build strength, flexibility, confidence, and inner calm, whether you are stepping onto the mat for the very first time or looking to deepen your existing practice.
Off the mat, I work at a nonprofit supporting survivors of gender-based violence, an experience that has deepened my commitment to creating safe, compassionate, and empowering spaces for others. When I am not teaching or practicing yoga, you will likely find me exploring wine country, discovering new restaurants, or spending time with my adorable miniature poodle, Toby.

Yoga has been an important grounding part of my life and I completed my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Jason Crandell. My teaching is rooted in mindful movement, intentional breath, and proper alignment, creating a practice that helps students build strength, flexibility, balance, and confidence while honoring their individual bodies.
Each lesson begins with a brief check-in to understand how you are feeling. We then move through a thoughtfully sequenced practice tailored to your experience level and goals, ending with relaxation and reflection so you leave feeling refreshed and grounded. I emphasize clear, accessible instruction and offer modifications throughout, making every class welcoming and supportive.
What sets me apart is my trauma-informed approach and professional background in mental health. I strive to create a safe, encouraging environment where students can explore yoga without pressure or comparison. Whether you are looking to reduce stress, improve mobility, deepen your practice, or simply reconnect with yourself, you will be supported every step of the way.
My lessons are suitable for beginners through intermediate practitioners, as well as anyone returning to yoga after a break. I offer personalized one-on-one sessions and small group classes, both online and in person, adapting each practice to meet your unique needs and goals.
