With direct experience in creative writing instruction and medical professionals’ communication, plus immersive living experience across diverse cultural and social contexts including corporate environments, military settings, and spiritual communities. I understand how communication adapts across different worlds. What truly sets me apart is my focus on the personal and transpersonal relationship we have with language and storytelling. I incorporate archetypal and mythic frameworks into creative work, stress management techniques for anxious learners, and I prioritize the expansion of minds over the memorization of rules. A Typical Session With Me Our 45-50 minute sessions begin with checking in about your goals and current needs. For conversational ESL, we dive into topics that genuinely interest you—your passions, experiences, or current events that spark curiosity. For creative writing, we explore your preferred genres and use journaling as a springboard for idea generation and authentic expression. I'm particularly drawn to creative essays and non-fiction, and I find archetypal storytelling incredibly valuable for personal narrative work. We typically close our time together by summarizing insights and planning next steps, ensuring you leave with clear direction for continued growth. Be prepared to spend time outside our classes developing your skills—growth happens in the practice between our meetings. Note: I'm not ideal for complete English beginners or students seeking primarily grammar drills and formal language rules.
