About Alok
Hello! My name is Alok. I am a Training Contract holder at Kirkland & Ellis. I also have a First Class Degree from the London School of Economics (LSE) and obtained a Distinction at the LPC. I have been tutoring for free for 2.5 years and figured why not make this into a part-time job! I love meeting and helping people! Some of my tutees have gone on to obtain Training Contracts at top law firms in the UK, such as Latham & Watkins. I am committed to your development and want to see you succeed. I offer all my students a free call to test the water and see if we are a good fit. I only tutor for 20 hours a week, but am available 24/7 to answer urgent emails and phone calls my tutees may have :)

You will meet me for a free call to help us both familiarise with each other. We will then, either online or optionally in person (if in Central London), will cover the module course content. We will focus specifically on things you may be struggling with. Ideally, you will email me a list of things you wish to cover in our meeting so that everything covered will be relevant. For example, if you are struggling with Directors' Meetings in Business Law, I will email you Distinction-Level notes on Directors' Meetings. We will then talk through and discuss what you are struggling with. I will then give you exam-level questions which we will answer and talk through together. I will mark your answers and give you feedback. The typical length of a lesson will range from 30-60 minutes. If it is shorter, there will usually be more work that needs to be done outside the lesson e.g. answering questions I have set, or marking answers you have given. I obtained a Distinction at the LPC and have a Training Contract at Kirkland & Ellis. I have been tutoring for 2 years. My LPC lessons are for students currently studying or thinking about studying the LPC. While I am familiar with most of the modules, I am currently only teaching Business Law and Practice alongside Tax.

Great tutor! i've tried various tutors on multiple tutoring sites before but Alok has definitely been one of the best. He's been very flexible and accomodating with his lesson plans and schedule. As for the content, it's clear that he preps the lesson for me beforehand which i really appreciate. Overall, he's been very patient and i can definitely see an improvement in my writing skills, knowledge and confidence. Highly recommended- thanks Alok!
