About MaLeea
I find that one of the biggest problems our school system has is not listening to the student. One of the first things I want to know about you is, what are the things that you struggle with when it comes to the topic I am teaching? What are the things that you find confusing? And I always like to touch base to ensure that you're catching on and things make sense before moving on. Sometimes things are not being broken down well enough and adjustments have to be made, and that's okay. WE WILL WORK TOGETHER!

I like to use methods much in line with those of Sesame Street in terms of using music, fun, and imagination to inspire students to become avid readers. I find these methods, along with my Orton-Gillingham training, to be extremely helpful, especially for students diagnosed with dyslexia and/or other learning challenges. It has been proven that strategies such as these, in addition to other multisensory techniques, are one of the best approaches to assist your child with their learning goals. My lessons are for students ranging from 1st to 12th grade.
