When it comes to Doctor Timothy Bowlby, I see him as an excellent teacher and a good motivator. I know him from my College Music Theory Classes. I have studied underneath him for about 2 1/2 years. I admire his eagerness to teach students and show them the ideas of music that nobody recognizes. Music is a vast topic and he is always able to find the jewels within music and use them in a way to educate his class. he always comes prepared with a simple lesson plan that evolves into something more each class period.

Dr. Bowlby is a gifted composer who brings passion and enthusiasm into the classroom. Well-versed in theory, applied composition, and musicology, he draws upon his expertise to help students reach their fullest potential. Dr. Bowlby constantly demonstrates how inspiration to create music can come from anywhere and recognizes that even the most elementary student compositions have the potential to become something great. He works tirelessly to bring out the best in his students and takes pride in their achievements. It was a pleasure to work with him throughout the course of my undergraduate degree.

Timothy is a colleague who is very knowledgeable of all things music. He is an accomplish music theorist and composer with a wonderful sense of humor, and above all an engaging instructor. I highly recommend Timothy for any music teaching situation.

Tim is a musical genius. He is very knowledgeable in areas of music theorry,history and composition. He not only teaches he also write his own music. He is patient and provides his students with the right way to study music. I would recommend him as a teacher.
