About Andrea
Hi, I’m Andrea – a passionate and experienced dance artist, performer, and educator with a strong focus on improvisation. With a background in professional performance across a range of styles and settings, I bring real-world experience into the studio and aim to connect creative exploration with technical skill. My teaching approach is grounded in years of performing, collaborating, and touring, which has shaped the way I guide students through improvisation. I believe this practice offers dancers a powerful way to develop their own voice, build confidence, and stay present in their bodies—whether they’re training, performing, or just exploring movement for themselves. In class, I create a supportive, professional environment where students feel encouraged to take risks, trust their instincts, and grow as both movers and artists. I’m committed to helping each dancer unlock their creativity while building a strong, adaptable foundation in movement.

I offer in-person, one-hour dance classes with a focus on improvisation as a creative methodology. My teaching encourages freedom, exploration, and personal discovery through movement, allowing students to investigate and develop their own physical language. Class level can be tailored based on age and experience, and I’m happy to adapt the content to suit different needs and group dynamics. I completed a dance pedagogy module last year, where I focused on teaching improvisation for my final assessment—an experience that deepened my commitment to this practice as both an artistic and educational tool.
