About Niklas

I have been passionate about different Asian cultures and traditions from a young age. I turned first to martial arts, then to self-healing with special practices, then to TuiNa massage and chinese medicine. I discovered Chinese philosophies and the differents practices of the body with the mind. I immediately knew that it was made for me and it quickly became essential for my health concerns, my search for balance and inner peace.

I am very attached to traditional Asian teaching, borrowing truths and wisdoms that lead to self-discovery and self-control. By following this path in my everyday life I gradually gained courage and self-confidence.

I started practicing Kung Fu in 2009 in a traditional school. Shortly after that I started studying Mandarin Chinese I went to Beijing for a short time, where I took intensive courses and I continue to study it still today.
Since then, I still persist in my regular practice and I teach beginners.

Before Kung Fu I had many health problems (repeated colds, insomnia, asthenia, digestive disorders, anxiety and stress ...) and yet I was already taking care of my body. The specialties of Western medicine have proven ineffective. Feeling constantly lacking in energy led me to practice Qi Gong and TaiChi Chen style (which I learned with a master, and close disciple of Grand Master Feng Zhi Qiang). This is what really helped me to overcome my problems, I started at the same time as Kung Fu and I still continue today.

In 2015 I obtained my master's degree of "Manager of digital communication" at IIM, and I created my own company. Today I gradually stop with my business to devote myself fully to traditional Chinese massage and martial arts.

In the martial art that I teach I integrate both the Yang aspect (hard and external) of Kung Fu and the Yin aspect (flexible and internal) of Taiji. These two aspects are essential for me, because Yang and Yin are inseparable, in Yin there must be Yang and in Yang there must be Yin. Tai Chi Chuan is, contrary to belief, a martial art, an art of self-defense, but which takes much longer to master in the face of external aggression than Kung Fu (if the practice is of good quality otherwise it remains gymnastics), because in Kung Fu we use external force from the start and we learn to block and strike to defend ourselves quickly. To feel confident in the face of external aggression more quickly it is better to start with Kung Fu, but afterwards Tai Chi is essential in my opinion. Besides, with several years of practice, you will discover that in Kung Fu there is Tai Chi and that in Tai Chi there is Kung Fu. The two meet, even if the approach is different. The goal is to join the mind with the body in all movements and to make one with the body.

- blocking exercises against kicks and punches;
- moving;
- kicks and punches;
- movement synchronization with blockages, kicks and punches;
- energy and strengthening exercises;
- forms to train endurance, strength, techniques, synchronization of the body, balance, circulation of energy;
- sparring.

Tai Chi lessons:
- basic exercises;
- study of forms;
- tuishou / pushing hands together.

The teaching is based on the traditional method which is to repeat the same basic exercises in each course while improving the details of posture and movements. The traditional martial arts as it was taught hundreds of years ago were based on repetition of the gestures and on the regularity of the practice. The more regular the practice, the more there will be improvement and evolution. There is not only the practice but also the condition of life (diet, emotions, sleep, ...) which is important for enjoying better health and therefore greater strength and self-confidence. Health, which according to Chinese medicine is a balance of the circulation of energy in the body, automatically gives physical and energetic strength. The goal of traditional martial arts, according to its philosophy, is the balance of energy flow, as well as emotional and mental stability. It is better that we practice in an outdoor park to benefit from the energy of nature and we will need a lot of space for all movements and displacements.
