About Marie
With more than 15 years of experience, I am a professional Flute instructor teaching School students, College students, and working professionals. I believe flute learning should be clear, practical, and enjoyable for all learners.
My tutoring method focuses on strong fundamentals. I train students in breathing techniques, finger movement, tone clarity, scales, rhythm, and musical expression. Lessons are structured but flexible, allowing students to progress at a comfortable pace.
I value open communication and regular guidance. I explain techniques step by step and encourage students to ask questions. Accountability is ensured through practice routines and progress tracking. Integrity guides my teaching, and I always support students with honesty and care.
In addition to flute training, I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm training, and performance skills. I assist students with exam preparation and recital confidence.
My unique skill is creating personalised lesson plans based on each student’s needs. I aim to make flute learning motivating, disciplined, and rewarding.

My flute teaching methodology is built on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, providing students with a personalised and inspiring learning experience. I begin each journey by understanding the student’s goals, skill level, and preferred learning style.
Clear communication ensures that concepts like posture, breath control, articulation, and music reading are taught in an understandable and engaging way. I encourage students to ask questions, share their ideas, and actively participate in their learning process.
Creativity is at the heart of my approach. I guide students to explore a variety of musical genres, experiment with melodies, and develop their own expressive style. Improvisation, composition exercises, and creative interpretation of pieces are included to nurture artistic growth. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons based on the student’s pace, challenges, and interests, ensuring learning remains effective and enjoyable.
Alongside flute playing, I incorporate music theory, rhythm exercises, sight-reading, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicianship. My methodology ensures that students gain technical skill, expressive confidence, and a lifelong love for music, making every lesson meaningful and inspiring.
