Mariana has been nothing short of transformative as a tutor. I came to her really struggling with mechanics and calculus, genuinely convinced I just "wasn't a maths person" but she proved me completely wrong. Her engineering background means she doesn't just teach you the formula, she shows you why it works, which made everything click in a way that school lessons never had. Mariana is the treasurer of the Bath & Bristol Young Members Panel for the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. I am the chair of the panel, and Mariana has been a very diligent member and has contributed to the success of the panel by managing the finances and helping plan our events. She has run volunteer sessions to teach young students in schools about engineering and STEM careers. Therefore, she is very capable at explaining complex concepts in an easily understandable way.
