About Sayed

Realise your potential at Oxbridge and other top universities with an accomplished A Level and entrance exam tutor! Specialising in mock interviews, TMUA, MAT, and support for Maths, Economics, and Computer Science. I bring a very strong and current understanding of the curriculum, paired with a passion for teaching, to help students reach their full potential. I have worked with over ten students who have successfully made it to Oxbridge and Imperial. I have achieved 8.0 in the TMUA, 3A*s at A Level, and six grade 9s and three grade 8s at GCSE, so I am well equipped to help your child succeed. My tutoring approach is tailored to each student’s unique learning style, ensuring that complex mathematical concepts become clear and manageable in intensive sessions designed to help them ace the TMUA/MAT. Every session involves tricky custom questions which account for every angle and style that the MAT & TMUA test. I am here to guide you through them with patience and clarity. My sessions are interactive, engaging, and designed to build your confidence, equipping you with the tools to shine in these very competitive examinations.

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that education is a deeply personal journey, and as such, requires a tailored approach that respects the individuality of each student. I am committed to fostering a nurturing and supportive environment that encourages students to explore their full potential. Personalisation is at the heart of my methodology. I believe that there is no one-size-fits-all lesson plan. Instead, I craft detailed and dynamic lesson plans that are specifically designed to align with each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning preferences. This bespoke approach ensures that every concept is accessible and every lesson resonates with the student. Support is the cornerstone of my interactions with students. I strive to be more than just a tutor; I aim to be a mentor and a guide. By providing consistent encouragement and constructive feedback, I help students navigate academic challenges with confidence and develop a resilient mindset that is not deterred by setbacks. To maximise grades, I employ a strategic mix of rigorous practice, conceptual understanding, and exam technique refinement. I emphasise the importance of mastering the fundamentals, as a strong foundation is crucial for tackling complex problems. Furthermore, I integrate exam-specific strategies into my teaching to ensure that students are well-prepared to excel under the pressure of actual test conditions.

I booked about 10 mock interview sessions in Maths for my daughter applying to Jesus College, Cambridge. I was very happy with the sessions which seem to have greatly boosted her confidence and which she seemed to greatly enjoy. Sayed was very knowledgable about the process and the subject which allowed him to probe her deeper in the questions they covered. I can definetly recommend Sayed for anyone looking for mock interviews and support.

Sayed had been giving TMUA lessons to me son for just 5 weeks before he took the test in October, I am very pleased to say that he achieved a 6.5. This was much higher than the scores he was getting on his own during the summer so I am grateful to Sayed for his lessons and feedback. My son reported enjoying the sessions and learning a great deal about tackling tough maths problems. Thank you Sayed!

Thank you very much Sayed! Your tutoring has really helped my son who has improved considerably before his end of year 10 exams, he's now got predicted grades that were higher than I thought he would be able to achieve! Many thanks.
