About Makenah
Hi! My name is Makenah and I am 19 years old currently getting my bachelor's in Government with an Emphasis in Legal Studies with a minor in Forensic Psychology. I have a passion for teaching, communication, and helping others succeed. As the oldest of seven kids, I’ve been guiding and mentoring from a young age, giving me plenty of experience in explaining concepts clearly and patiently. My background in public speaking and debate coaching has allowed me to help students of all skill levels develop confidence, structure their thoughts, and communicate effectively. I’m a 5-time national speech and debate qualifier, and I’ve worked with students on everything from competition prep to everyday speaking skills. Academically, I’ve always been ahead of the curve. I graduated high school just a few credits short of earning an associate degree and am now graduating college two years early with a pre-law degree. Next stop? Law school! My journey has given me firsthand experience with rigorous academics, time management, and the importance of strong writing and communication skills, all of which I bring to my teaching.
