About Tian
I am currently a postgraduate research student with a research interest in leadership in a Chinese sports context from Institute for Sport Business in Loughborough University London. Since I moved to the UK in 2014, I have made a lot of friends from either local communities or other countries in the world. Many of them show great interests in learning Mandarin. Therefore, I would like to appreciate the opportunities to help the people who want to learn Chinese, as well as demonstrate the beauty of Chinese.
I have the confidence to deliver high-standard tutorial based on the following reasons. First of all, as a native Mandarin speaker from Beijing, there is little suggestion of dialect accent in my speech, which allows me to deliver the most accurate Mandarin pronunciations to the students. Besides, I hold systematic and solid knowledge of explanations of characters, words and phrases in Chinese context, so that I can help the student to express their meanings precisely in different circumstances. Moreover, I have acted as a translator in the Mother and Baby Buyers Inward Mission from China 2016 conference held by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), which demonstrated my ability of speaking Mandarin and English fluently. Secondly, I have worked in China for a private training institution. Therefore, I do understand how to interact with the students and how to motivate them.
