About Emma
I am a thirteen-year-old student that has taken the SAT and reached a score of 1200. I have straight A's, have written for many student newspapers and magazines, and love to teach younger kids. I taught many young people under the age of five how to read, and can help find books to interest young kids.

The only way to get any young child to become a better English student is to get them to enjoy reading and writing. I tutor to children ages 4-12, and my main approach is to find a book series that a child likes. Reading not only improves literacy, but book clubs regarding books that your child specifically enjoys can help with comprehension.

I found Emma through a family friend. I hired her for my five year old daughter. After about six months my daughter, who previously had so much trouble with the alphabet, was showing so many signs of improved literacy and could read short books. She’s a fun, older sister kind of teacher. I would highly recommend her to any other person who needs a fun tutor to get their kid to pay attention.
