About Darcey
My name is Darcey, and I am a University of Surrey physics student in my third year. I have held a sincere passion for maths and physics ever since I was a child watching Brian Cox's space documentaries and marvelling at the pretty stars.
The journey to understanding these difficult subjects is not all about these moments of wonder, however! Having of course gone through the education system myself, I encountered difficulties in physics and maths problems that led me to feeling deeply stuck. Sometimes, a little extra guidance is needed, and that is just fine! I believe that all students deserve the chance to ask questions without feeling silly, and have their own space to learn in a way that suits them. Even the most complex problem can be solved if you take it step by small step.

Maths and physics are problem-solving subjects that many students can find difficult or even overwhelming. It is important to understand each step of the way, and to be given patience and a clear explanation when it is needed. I am happy to help!
I am currently a third year physics student at the University of Surrey, specialising in astrophysics. I gave consistent tutoring lessons at my secondary school to younger GCSE students in maths, and took a year-long leadership course in year 9 to guide primary school students through physics activities and worksheets. In my A-levels (most recent qualification), I achieved an A*,A,B (in maths, physics and chemistry respectively).
A typical session would be 60 minutes and take place online. I am available to tutor GCSE, A-level, and primary school students. I hope to give any student in need of maths or physics tutoring the patience and help that they deserve.
