About Fazra
Hi, I’m Fazra, a Monash University student majoring in Financial Technology and Business Analytics. I know that Math, especially Statistics and Quantitative Methods can feel overwhelming, especially when explanations move too fast or feel too complicated. That is why I try to teach in a way that is patient, clear, and comfortable for each student.
I started teaching through volunteer study sessions with children in my home country, Indonesia, where I taught Mathematics, English, and Public Speaking. That experience made me realize that teaching is not just about knowing everything or giving answers. I also learn from my students through their questions, their different ways of thinking, and the way they try again even when something feels difficult.
My lessons are not about rushing through topics. I like to understand where the student is struggling, break the concept down slowly, and build from there. I want my students to feel supported, not pressured, and to leave each lesson feeling a little more confident than before.

My approach is to make Math, Statistics and Quantitative Methods feel less intimidating by breaking concepts down step by step. I focus on helping students understand the logic behind formulas, not just memorize methods, so they can apply the same concept confidently in homework, quizzes and exams.
A typical lesson can be 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student’s level and needs. Lessons usually include concept explanation, guided examples, practice questions, and a short recap to identify areas that need more work.
I am currently a Monash University student majoring in Financial Technology and Business Analytics, with experience in quantitative subjects, data analytics, Excel, R, Python and statistics-related coursework. I also have experience mentoring students through weekly study sessions, where I taught Mathematics, English and Public Speaking to elementary and middle school students.
My lessons are suitable for secondary school students and foundation/pre-university students who need support in Math, Statistics, Quantitative Methods, basic data analysis or business-related quantitative subjects.

Details
My hourly rate is RM35 as I am currently starting out as a student tutor. The first lesson is free so students can see whether my teaching style suits them. I offer online lessons at no extra charge, and a small RM10 travel fee applies for in-person lessons to help cover transport costs.
For lesson packs, 5 hours can be used flexibly across several sessions. I am open to adjusting lesson length depending on the student’s needs, such as homework help, exam preparation, or extra practice.
