About Kalkidan
Growing up in Germany and later continuing my education in Ethiopia gave me a unique international and multilingual background that shaped both my communication skills and teaching style. I am a native-level German speaker, fluent in German, English, and Amharic, and I am currently a third-year medical student with a strong academic foundation and passion for teaching.
I believe that learning a language should feel encouraging, engaging, and practical. Many students struggle with confidence when speaking German, so I create a supportive environment where mistakes are part of the learning process and progress feels natural. My lessons are structured, personalized, and adapted to each student’s goals, whether they are complete beginners or advanced learners looking to improve fluency.
Beyond teaching grammar and vocabulary, I focus on helping students communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations. I am patient, professional, organized, and genuinely committed to helping every student improve step by step.

I believe language learning should feel immersive, practical, and confidence-building from the very first lesson. Growing up in Germany and later continuing my education in Ethiopia gave me a deep understanding of both native-level German communication and the challenges international learners face when learning the language. My goal is not only to teach grammar and vocabulary, but to help students think, speak, and express themselves naturally in German.
My teaching approach is interactive, structured, and adapted to each student’s level and goals. I combine conversational immersion, pronunciation training, grammar explanation, listening practice, and real-life communication exercises. I focus heavily on helping students become comfortable speaking without fear of making mistakes, because confidence is one of the most important parts of language acquisition.
A typical lesson usually includes:
Speaking practice and pronunciation correction
Vocabulary expansion through real-life situations
Clear grammar explanations with practical examples
Listening and comprehension activities
Reading and sentence-building exercises

For beginners, I build a strong foundation step-by-step in a supportive environment.
