About Ted
Hi, I’m a third year Mathematics student at Durham University, currently on track for a First Class degree. I achieved 9s at GCSE and A stars at A Level. Maths is a passion of mine, and I love helping others build confidence and enjoy the subject. I have experience tutoring students at secondary school and sixth form across a range of abilities, tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. Outside of maths, I enjoy sport, especially tennis and football. I am committed to supporting my students every step of the way to help them reach their full potential.

I believe maths is not a spectator sport. The best way to learn is through practice. My lessons are focused on active problem-solving rather than just listening, with a strong emphasis on building confidence through doing. I tailor each session to the student’s needs and provide carefully chosen questions to reinforce understanding and develop skills. Whether you are working on the basics or pushing towards top grades, I will support you step by step and help make difficult topics feel more approachable. My aim is to create a positive and supportive environment where you feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and growing as a learner.
