About Dhruv
As a third-year Health Sciences student, I bring both strong academic knowledge and real teaching experience to every session. I previously worked as a Kumon tutor, where I helped students build solid foundations in math through consistent practice and structured learning. I also served as a Statistics SRS leader at my university, supporting college students in understanding challenging concepts and improving their performance.
I am patient, organized, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I take pride in being reliable and professional, always preparing for sessions and tailoring lessons to each student’s needs. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades, but also to build their confidence and independence as learners.

My approach as a tutor is student-centered and focused on building both understanding and confidence. I break down complex math and science concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and use real-life examples to make material more relatable. I also adapt my teaching style based on how each student learns best, whether that’s visual aids, practice problems, or discussion.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of previous material, followed by introducing a new concept in a clear and structured way. We then work through guided examples together before moving into independent practice, where I support and correct in real time. I always end with a short recap and tips for studying independently.
What sets me apart is my experience as both a Kumon tutor and a Statistics SRS leader, where I’ve worked with a wide range of students and learning styles. I focus not just on getting the right answer, but on helping students understand the “why” behind it.
My lessons are ideal for middle school and high school students taking math, biology, or introductory statistics, especially those who want to strengthen their foundation, improve grades, or feel more confident in class.
