About Ryan

I am an experienced education professional with over 16 years of practice, holding a PhD in Positive School Experiences, an MSc in Psychology, an MSc in Management, and currently undertaking doctoral training in Educational Psychology. I am also a published academic author, with peer-reviewed research experience that informs my rigorous, ethical and practical approach to thesis and dissertation support. I specialize in working with undergraduate, Master’s and doctoral students who are experiencing difficulties with progress, confidence or clarity in their studies. I provide structured, calm and psychologically informed support across all stages of the research process, including research question formulation, study design, literature review development, theoretical and conceptual frameworks, data analysis, interpretation and academic discussion. My academic background enables me to support both qualitative and quantitative research, with a strong emphasis on academic voice, coherence and alignment between aims, methodology and conclusions. Drawing on my training in psychology and Educational Psychology, I work in a neurodiversity-affirming and well-being-focused way, helping students manage overwhelm, interpret supervisor feedback, plan workloads effectively and break complex academic tasks into manageable steps. I support students to develop their own academic thinking and writing skills through guidance, feedback and structured academic coaching. Support is developmental and integrity-led. I focus on guidance, feedback and skill-building so that students can produce their own work confidently and independently, in line with university academic integrity expectations. I enjoy helping students regain momentum, strengthen academic confidence and make steady, measurable progress, whether they are developing an initial proposal or preparing for submission. I deliver structured, student-centred sessions that are tailored to each individual’s stage, needs, and confidence level. Sessions are calm, supportive, and focused on helping students make steady, measurable progress in their research, writing, and academic thinking.

Drawing on my PhD, MSc in Psychology, MSc in Management, published research, and training in Educational Psychology, I offer guidance across all stages of the research process: from developing research questions and study design, to literature reviews, theoretical frameworks, data analysis, interpretation, and discussion. I help students strengthen academic voice, coherence, and alignment between aims, methodology, and conclusions.
