I use the synthetic method of teaching phonics aided with multisensory activities. This activities include phonics game, flashcards and
an action and story for every sound taught. Then we progress to blending of these letters to form simple two letter words, which comes with comprehension along that line. We move from there to CVC, three letter words, then to tricky words in three letter words. It progresses like that till we get to more complex words and how they are made up of sounds earlier taught.
