About Nina
I’m a college professor and professional theatremaker specializing in immersive, interactive theater in Chicago. I have a decade of experience in set design/scenography; props building; devising; and dramatic improv as well as five years teaching theater design at the collegiate level. I recently won a 3Arts Award for excellence in theater and have my design values rooted in audience advocacy; dramaturgy; and sustainability.

I utilize a project-based approach for my lessons so students walk away with applicable skills, ready to communicate and execute their stage visions. Depending on the needs of the student, I can adapt lessons for any age group or level from elementary school theatre to degree-seekers. As a college professor in theatre design actively working in the Chicago theatre scene, I can offer real world examples from a decade of experience.
