About James
I am an online tutor who understands the Maths GCSE syllabus inside out and have it as my only speciality. I completed all my qualifications (all A*s) under the Edexcel exam board and can tutor any other exam board to the same standard. I try to have the students view me as someone who’s relatable, as I’m only 20, and try to show them that a little bit of extra effort can go a long way.

I have achieved A*s in Maths and Further Maths at GCSE and A Level.
I teach my students the quickest and easiest methods I have learned, and try to simplify the content as much as I can (as that’s what my best teachers did for me).
I am completely flexible on my tutoring hours. Literally any day any time, as long as it is planned. I am a laid-back and friendly tutor with the only aim of improving my tutee’s final GCSE Maths grade.
My hourly rate of £35 is reflected in my standard of teaching. I do a deal of 1.5 hours (with a 10 minute interval break) for £40. I believe a break halfway through the session helps the tutee avoid tedium and improve focus. I am flexible on length of sessions and always fair on price.
