About Emmanuel
My name is Emmanuel Ramapuram, and I am a conscientious, highly organised, and experienced Special Educational Needs (SEN) teacher, passionate about helping students reach their full potential. With over 4 years of experience working with children in both education and therapeutic settings, I have developed a positive and supportive approach that focuses on building strong relationships and encouraging positive behaviours.
I specialise in teaching KS2 to KS4 Science, but I also have expertise in Maths and English, providing well-rounded support for students as they transition through their academic journey. My teaching methods emphasise positive reinforcement, individualised attention, and engaging, hands-on activities to make learning accessible and enjoyable for all students, regardless of their challenges.
Having worked in both school and clinical environments, I am also skilled at working with students who have complex needs, offering personalised support that helps them feel confident and motivated. I believe in fostering a safe and nurturing learning space where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

My Approach to Tutoring
Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
I use a highly personalised, multi-sensory approach tailored to the individual needs of students, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I incorporate differentiated instruction, adapting lessons to each student's learning style and ability level. Visual aids, hands-on activities, and assistive technology (like educational software) help reinforce concepts, particularly in Maths and Science. I generate my own PowerPoint presentations tailored to the topic being taught. I also utilise positive reinforcement and behaviour management to maintain motivation and focus, while incorporating task-based learning and project-based activities to make learning practical and engaging.
Lessons typically last between 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's attention span and needs. I ensure each session is interactive, with regular breaks if necessary to maintain focus.
I have a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), with over 4 years of experience teaching students with SEN, including in subjects like High School Science and Maths. I have worked as a specialist Science Teacher in a Special Needs School and my background includes working with children aged 12 to 16, supporting a wide range of learning disabilities and developmental needs including children with complex needs.
My lessons are specifically designed for 12 to 16-year-old students with Special Educational Needs at the high school level. Whether a student is struggling with Maths, Science, or general academic skills, I tailor the instruction to meet their unique challenges and goals.
