About Emy
Hello there!
I’m Emy and I’ve been passionate about literature for as long as I’ve been able to read. I grew up in Germany and France, did both my Baccalaureat and Abitur and moved to London to pursue an English Lit degree. I graduate in 2021 and became an agent for photographers and now actors.
My areas of expertise are 18th and 19th century poetry but I’ve studied everything from medieval to contemporary literature as well as linguistics and comparative literature extensively in French, German and English.

Whether you are preparing for your GCSEs or A-Levels in French, German or English or you simply want to learn a new language to impress your friends, your employer or your new girlfriend, I will always prioritise your goals and make learning a collaborative process.
I know how daunting it can be to learn a new language, which is why I make it fun and interactive. Learning a language takes more than just regurgitating grammar or conjugating verbs you don’t know how to use.
Together we’ll immerse ourselves in the culture, history and literature of your chosen language and we’ll work on developing your oral and written skills as well as improving your listening comprehension. We’ll use books, articles, music and film as well as tailor your knowledge to any upcoming exams.
