For Textiles and Fashion design students- I focus on building strong design foundations while gradually advancing your skills in textile and fashion design. This includes print development, embroidery, weaving, garment construction, pattern making, styling, and sustainable textile creation using waste materials. Each lesson is designed to enhance creativity, technical ability, and confidence.

For English language students- I focus on improving the four key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, through structured activities that build confidence and competence.

Typical Lesson Structure

Warm-Up (5-10 minutes):
A quick introduction about me and the student. A little recap of what we discussed in our last class. Then a little warm up such as discussing current events or practicing a conversation starter, to set the tone.

Core Lesson (30-40 minutes):
For Textile and fashion design students- Creative exercises such as mood board discussions, design inspiration, or quick sketching to spark ideas.
Focused learning on specific areas like print design, embroidery techniques, pattern making, garment construction, styling, or sustainable practices.

For English Language students- Focused instruction on vocabulary, grammar, or a specific skill, supported by relevant activities like reading comprehension or guided writing.

Practice and Application (10-15 minutes):
For Textile and Fashion Design students- Hands-on work including designing, sampling, concept development, or working on portfolio pieces and real-world projects like photoshoots.

For English Language students- Students engage in practical exercises, such as debates, storytelling, or real-world scenarios, to apply what they’ve learned.

Wrap-Up and Feedback (5 minutes):
Recap of the lesson and discussion of key takeaways, with a plan for the next session.
