My lessons are for everyone, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned violinist! I will guide you to understand the violin and learn to play new songs. For more experienced players, you will play a solo piece of anything you are currently working on, and I will not only give you immediate tips but also judge your skill level to find you the best method to help you improve even more!
In each session, I will give you advice focusing on your tone, posture, and musicality on par with the teachings of a college music professor. Afterwards, I will assign scales, études, and other repertoire along with your current piece to give you further practice material.

I was his classmate for the past 4 years- and by far he was the most incredible violin player I’ve ever played with. He gives really gentle pointers to improve our fingerings and musicality for the entire section. On a final note, he’s really fun to be around when you get to know him. I’m sure he’ll skyrocket anybody’s progress!
As his colleague, Matthew is a talented violinist who is passionate about helping others around him succeed in music as well. He is patient and encouraging, and he explains everything clearly. Highly recommend Matthew as your teacher!
