About Matthew
I have worked with many students over the past 7 years. Competence, curiosity and confidence are key components of success in math and regardless of the level or coursework. Competence comes from ensuring the fundamentals of the subject are understood and practiced; curiosity is extremely useful as a tool to overcome any intimidation presented by the subject matter; and lastly confidence comes with better test results. I look to set results goals with students and plot the steps to get there. Recent successes include helping an SAT student raise her math score by 100 points and helping another student struggling with calculus to rise to a "A" grade in the course. I have multiple students at this time who are prepping for the AP statistics test that are on target for high (4 or 5) scores.
