About Hilary

Hi! I’m a certified math educator with over 10 years of teaching experience in middle school classrooms. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Math Education from Buffalo State College and a Master’s degree in Special Education from Niagara University. As both a teacher and a mom of three, I understand how important it is to support kids not just academically, but emotionally and personally. I’ve always had a passion for teaching, and I love helping students build confidence in math—especially in areas where they may feel unsure. My goal is to make math approachable, understandable, and maybe even fun! I offer personalized 1-on-1 tutoring, either in person or online, designed to meet each student where they are and help them grow from there. When I’m not teaching or spending time with my kids, you’ll find me hiking, reading, or soaking up sunshine—I’m definitely solar powered!

With over 10 years of experience teaching middle school math, I bring a deep understanding of how students learn and where they often struggle. I specialize in breaking down complex concepts into simple, relatable steps that build confidence and mastery over time.

Here’s what sets my tutoring apart:

Proven Expertise: A decade of classroom experience means I know the curriculum inside and out—from fractions and decimals to algebra readiness.
1-on-1 Personalized Support: Whether your child needs help catching up or wants to get ahead, I tailor each session to their unique needs and learning pace.
Flexible Options: Choose what works best for your schedule—tutoring is available both in person and online.
Boost in Confidence & Grades: My students consistently see improved test scores, stronger math skills, and a more positive attitude toward learning.
Math doesn’t have to be stressful. With the right support, any student can succeed—and even enjoy it.
