About Zaivera
Hi! I’m Zaivera, a Penn State graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree and a 160-hour TEFL certification. I’m passionate about language, communication, and helping others develop skills they can feel confident using in real life and in the classroom.
I’m a patient, reliable, and detail-oriented tutor who understands that every student learns differently. I strive to create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves.

My approach to tutoring is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I believe students learn best when they understand the “why,” not just the rules. I break complex English concepts into simple, manageable steps and use examples, conversation, guided practice, and constructive feedback to help students build confidence.
A typical lesson begins by identifying the student’s goals and reviewing any areas they find challenging. We then work through the topic together using explanations and examples, followed by guided exercises and practice. I leave time at the end to review what we learned and identify areas to continue working on.
What sets me apart is my creative and adaptable approach. As a Penn State B.A. graduate and 160-hour TEFL-certified tutor, I combine academic knowledge with a relaxed, supportive teaching style. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes because that is an important part of learning.
My lessons are suitable for beginner to advanced English learners, including students who want to improve grammar, pronunciation, phonetics, vocabulary, conversation, reading comprehension, essay writing, academic writing, proofreading, and editing. I can also help students who need support with papers, assignments, or strengthening their overall English skills.
