About Rachel
Hello, my name is Rachel and I am from South Africa. I have an acquired background in the Built Environment in Architecture. I also hold a TEFL qualification as a certified English teacher. I can speak quite a few different languages, (French, Portuguese, Swahili, IsiZulu) and I have mastered the techniques of language learning, which is why I understand what it takes to learn a new language and I'm excited to help those who want to learn language or just practice in areas where they feel that they can do better. My interests include, reading, designing, traveling and participating in outdoor activities. I am a creative and passionate individual, who will make this journey a fun and interesting one.

I hold a TEFL qualification as a certified English teacher. I teach English to adults, teenagers, young learners, business professionals, exam preppers and for academic purposes (writing, doing research, giving presentations etc.) I teach English to learners of all levels, from beginners to proficient speaker. I have committed myself to learning a few different languages, (French, Portuguese, Swahili, IsiZulu) and I have mastered the techniques of language learning, which is why I understand what it takes to learn language.
We will be focusing on pronunciation, grammar, reading, writing, spelling, articulation, presentation skills and basic English conversational skills, where needed. My classes are going to be interactive, conversational and enjoyable because I am a teacher who believes that students should feel comfortable with sharing their ideas. The approach I therefore use, is a student-centered approach. Those who would also like to learn English as a hobby are welcome to reach out and we can always have a nice and friendly chat.
