You are taught by an Engineer. I have done Engineering in computer science. I believe that if the basics are clear, the most difficult problem can be solved very easily. So, I try to teach everything from the base. I know the shortcuts as well, but I believe if the students know the conventional method, they can easily remember shortcuts of almost everything.
