About Duong
Hello everyone,
Nice to meet you!!
My name is Duong Dinh, but you can call me Mark for short. I'm an International Student from Vietnam, and I'm currently a senior at Holy Trinity High School.
Something about me is that I got an A* in IGCSE Mathematics and Science which included Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Right now, I'm taking AP Government and Politics, AP Physics 1, AP Literature and Composition, AP Computer Science C, and AP Calculus BC. I took AP Biology in my Junior year and got a 3. Moreover, I'm the founder of the school Science Club. Outside of school, I participated in the Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics contest and got a bronze medal. I interned at a stem cell clinic in Japan during the summer. I also collaborated with a group of students to host a boot camp teaching youngsters about TinyML. In addition, I published a research paper about applying stem cells to cardiovascular disease.
Although I'm still a high school student, I believe I can help you as much as I possibly can. I frequently tutor underclassmen and peers at my school, and I genuinely enjoy the process. However, to make the most of our sessions, I encourage you to come prepared with questions since I'm not a certified teacher.

My teaching method, personally my favorite way, is called scaffolding with active learning. I’ll gradually increase the complexity of each lesson, helping you build understanding until you can solve problems independently. As a high school student myself, my role isn’t to teach like a traditional teacher but to assist with any questions you have. To make the most of our sessions, I encourage you to come prepared with questions. My lessons are tailored for students from primary through junior high school.
