About Sumaiya
My name is Sumaiya, and i finished my gcses in 2024. I’ve always been passionate about helping people achieve the best grades they can especially English Lit and Lang GCSE. I’ve been told by many of my teachers throughout my years in school that my English and creative writing skills are “above average”. Furthermore, i am predicted a 7 (A) in both English subjects and i inspire to help GCSE students who may struggle to grasp the concepts of GCSE English.

In my lessons, i make sure to keep explanations simple, encouraging students to ask questions about the work, exam techniques, etc. I am a very welcoming and friendly person who understands the pressures of GCSES, having done them recently, therefore i make sure the lessons are friendly and a non judgmental environment, but also educational and knowledge boosting. I mainly cater towards texts in gcses such as An Inspector Calls, Macbeth and A Christmas Carol, and “Love and Relationship” Anthology poems, however i am also open to the “Power and Conflict” poems.
I’ll usually set small tasks for students to complete during lessons and small peices homework including a deadline, to see their progress. I keep the homework as short as possible depending on the subject to make sure students have a good balance of school and homework. Im also open to helping students with anything they’ve covered in school, as help for mock revision or learning.
