About Ryan

I am a dedicated primary school tutor specialising in English, Maths, and ESOL (For Adults). I provide engaging, tailored lessons that help young learners build confidence and essential skills. About the lesson

I am an experienced Primary School tutor, I have taught Mathematics, English at Primary SATS level (Year 2 and Year 6). I have experience in providing, phonics, spelling, punctuation and grammar (SPaG). I cater for Primary level and ESOL classes. During our sessions, I will personalise each session to your requirements, make sessions as active and engaging as possible and tailor to your needs. This will allow you to achieve your full potential. A typical online ESOL or Primary level (SATS) lesson begins with a brief review of the previous session, followed by an introduction to the day's objectives. I use tailored PowerPoint presentations to guide the lesson, ensuring the content is aligned with the student's current language level and goals. These slides may include vocabulary, grammar points, and interactive exercises designed to encourage active participation. During the lesson, we work towards achieving specific objectives, such as improving conversational skills or mastering a particular grammar structure. We engage in various activities, including role-plays, discussions, and quizzes, to ensure these objectives are met. At the end of the session, we reflect on what was learned, discussing any challenges or areas that need further practice. I then outline the objectives for the next lesson, offering tips or strategies to help the student prepare. Homework may be assigned to reinforce the day's learning, such as writing a short paragraph, completing a worksheet, or practising vocabulary. This structure ensures that each lesson is productive, personalised, and builds upon the student's progress. We will work on goal setting and create a pathway ladder to achieve these goals. These lessons will be done via Microsoft Teams or Zoom.
