Because you deserve consistent feedback, I include a monthly recorded review of your progress to document how your playing evolves over time. We will spend time on maintenance and tuning to ensure your gear is ready, while also covering essential grade exam prep for students tracking their progress.
Strumming patterns and theory get equal weight alongside technical exercises designed to keep your hands fluid and accurate. Advanced learners can expect to challenge their ears, while hobbyists will find enjoyment in playing songs that matter to them. Cracking open old cassette tapes in my bedroom taught me more about intuition than any textbook ever could. After those early days of self discovery, I pursued a formal BMus Jazz Guitar from the University of North Texas to sharpen my understanding of complex theory.
These 21 years of playing have pushed me to blend structured academic knowledge with the raw instinct of a self taught musician. I focus on ear training, rhythm guitar, and precise electric technique for a wide range of students. Whether you are a kid just picking up the instrument or an advanced player, I bring a practical, hands-on methodology to our work together. My approach highlights the styles of Holdsworth, Metheny, and Scofield to help you navigate the fretboard with confidence.
