My Approach as a Science Tutor As a dedicated science educator with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and a Teaching Diploma in Secondary Science Education, my approach to tutoring is centered around clarity, curiosity, and confidence-building. Teaching Methods & Techniques My teaching method is grounded in student-centered learning. I adapt my teaching style to the student’s preferred learning method—whether visual, auditory, or kinesthetic—and I emphasize critical thinking and problem-solving throughout. Each session typically begins with a short review to assess understanding and address misconceptions. I incorporate active recall, spaced repetition, and practice questions tailored to curriculum standards to reinforce learning effectively. I also integrate digital tools, simulations, and hands-on activities when applicable to make lessons more interactive. A Typical Lesson Plan Includes: Warm-up & Diagnostic Review – 5–10 minutes Quick questions or discussion to check prior knowledge or review previous material. Concept Exploration – 20–25 minutes Introduction and breakdown of the key concept using diagrams, examples, or analogies, encouraging questions and active participation. Application & Practice – 15–20 minutes Solving problems, answering exam-style questions, or analyzing case studies related to the lesson. Wrap-Up & Feedback – 5–10 minutes Summarizing key points, clarifying doubts, and outlining goals or practice for the next session.
