I've been playing and writing music since my teens, exploring everything from blues and rock to jazz and metal. After earning a BA (Hons) in Popular Music Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music, I've performed in a wide range of projects and now enjoy helping students develop their technique, confidence, and musical identity.

My teaching approach is friendly and relaxed, ensuring that learning feels inspiring rather than daunting. I can guide students through everything from foundational technique and rhythm playing to soloing, tone shaping, and getting comfortable with pedals and recording and mixing.
Choose from 30, 45, or 60-minute sessions, with 60 minutes recommended for in-depth exploration and quick progress. Since 2006, I've been dedicated to nurturing talent, having taught at renowned institutions like Tremolo Guitar School and Guitar Lab.

Perfect! Tom is a wonderful tutor. From the start he took time to understand where I was at, and where I wanted to go, and has moved me ever closer with every lesson. He is friendly but professional, positive, knowledgeable and creative in his suggestions. He has been able to identify and fix years of bad habits in just a few lessons. i’ve been doing bass and guitar lesson with tom for three years, he’s an amazing teacher and goes over absolutely anything you’d like in the lesson. i started off bass from scratch and by my third lesson i’d picked a hard song and could play it near perfect in a few weeks. best music teacher i’ve had!!
Tom has helped me raise my game as a guitar player, opening my eyes to theory, the more technical aspects of playing and also learning how to love the instrument in a whole new way. He's taught me a wide variety of new skills, from transcription, effective practising and how to nail that song I've been trying to learn! We've even dived into song writing techniques as well as staying patient when it all gets frustrating. On top of all this, Tom's a great guy...I certainly look forward to my weekly lesson!!
