One of the best professors I have come across with immense depth in the field of biology and adept at imparting knowledge at classroom level. I feel really privileged to be in active contact with him and encourage others to take up his classes and instill within themselves a comprehensive knowledge in the field of biology!

I always had a knack for biology from my school days but unfortunately after higher secondary I got into Engineering and there was nothing close to biology in our curriculum. However, I again got a chance to study biology during my Masters and this is when I met Sir. He not only rekindled my interest again but taught so well that I had no problem to make the transition after a gap of 4 years. In class we used to discuss lot of things outside our stipulated syllabus. Now, I currently pursue research in Environmental Science related issues where there is a perfect balance between biology and engineering.

Anirban sir (Dr. Anirban Mitra) is extremely student friendly and the way of teaching is very simple. He explains the concepts in very simple way that helps the students to understand it easily. Specially during my masters days he taught us molecular biology techniques and he taught us and motivate us in such a way that we developed immense curiosity/ interest in it.
His classes were very informative as well as very enriching to us.
