About Tenny
Born in Adelaide and now a long-time Darwin local, I’ve spent the last 17 years building a vibrant life in the Northern Territory with my five children—two girls and three boys—who constantly inspire my journey. I love country life and animals and have pet goats, dogs, chickens and ducks. Teaching children is a passion of mine - especially spelling and reading.

I combine structured learning with creative strategies to make lessons both effective and engaging. My approach includes explicit instruction, guided practice, and interactive activities to strengthen reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension. I focus on building confidence and nurturing a lifelong love for language.
Sessions typically run for 30 to 45 minutes and are designed to suit learners at all levels—from early primary to junior secondary. Each lesson is paced to maintain attention and encourage participation, with gentle support and clear feedback throughout.
As a qualified educator with decades of classroom experience, I’ve taught thousands of students across various learning stages. I understand the challenges young learners face and know how to motivate them with patience, empathy, and proven techniques.
