About Natalie
I currently work as a Newly Qualified Teacher of Japanese in North London, having completed my Initial Teacher Training last year. I teach Japanese to students aged 11-18, including GCSE and A-level. Whilst I generally teach larger classes, my sixth form classes are smaller (4-6 students) and I gained tutoring experience during my training year (beginner).

Hi there!
I studied Japanese at the University of East Anglia, spending my third year abroad in Kyoto. I am currently in my Newly Qualified Teacher year, having passed my training last year. I teach Japanese to students aged 11-18 (up to A-level). I enjoy teaching all ages, but I particularly enjoy the challenge that comes with teaching A-level (along with the fact that we can have lots of interesting conversations in Japanese!).
My teaching method involves using a range of games/interactive activities to facilitate learning, tailoring these activities to students' needs and learning styles, mixed with a substantial amount of target language. Examples include using songs to remember grammar points/use of music in the target language, for auditory learners, and pictures or mnemonic devices, for visual learners (particularly useful for learning kanji!).
