About Christina
My teaching journey started a cheer and a spark. My first student was having difficulty understanding the silent e such as cake. On the spot, I created a story with cheer to help her. I told her the vowel gets scared around the consonants. So the e doesn’t say it’s sound, but it cheers on the other vowel to say it’s long name. Together we spelled cake is spelled c-a-k-e cheer cheer cheer! When she spelled rake on her own cheering at the end, a spark lit inside me knowing that I want to help students flourish. My master’s of elementary education paired with my bachelor’s in psychology gave me the tools to accomplish my goal. I would love to help your child reach their full potential!

FUN! I help my students find the fun in their lessons that are tailored to their learning style. Since my target students are Pre-k to 6th grade, I instill a growth mindset by enable them to comprehending their skills can be developed. This encourages them to be open with their difficulties. It is important to mend the gaps in their educational foundation early. Then they can build upon their previous knowledge and be confident! When challenges come their way, they know they are supported by their environment and can overcome them. In turn, this will enable them to flourish mentally, socially, physically, cognitively, and creatively!
