About Rodrigo
What many schools and teachers do not tell you is that its not only important what you speak in English, but how you speak! To become fluent in a language it is necessary, of course, to understand what is being said, but it is also vital to BE UNDERSTOOD. When we do not study the sounds that exist in a language and how they are used in words, it is natural to use our mother language as a reference, which gives rise to our "Brazilian accent", which is nothing more than successive pronunciation mistakes that we commit. Why does this become a problem? Unlike Portuguese, English is a language composed of a large number of short words differentiated many times by a single sound, examples: fill / feel, hit / heat, roll / row, habit / rabit, bag / beg, This characteristic of the language coupled with the non-correspondence of what is written and how words are actually spoken in numerous cases, make the language difficult to understand, as well as of difficult speech for Brazilians. The aim of the classes is to create a solid base in pronunciation, increasing the confidence and quality of the student's speech and also their oral comprehension. The symbol system created by the Amerian Heritage Dictionary will be used, which is quite intuitive, instead of the IPA, traditionally used by many teachers for pronunciation teaching, which discourages and makes learning difficult due to its extremely complex symbology

My name is Rodrigo, I am a former student of UFMG, graduated in the metallurgical engineering course in 2018. I study English for more than 5 years, including 1 year of exchange in a university, in the state of New York, United States. There, I had the opportunity to study English exclusively for 5 months with American teachers. In that period, I had specific pronunciation classes in a way that is hardly taught here in Brazil in traditional courses. I decided to create a course with the proposal to use the method and tools that have been provided to me, demystify the spoken English for Brazilians, and present the importance of correct English to my students.

Rodrigo é um professor muito cuidadoso e cauteloso ao ensinar, porque respeita os fatores externos que podem dificultar o aprendizado de uma língua, como: pré interação com o idioma, contato com outros meios de ensino, tempo despendido e etc. O que mais me chama atenção é sua capacidade de trazer para o campo de visão do aluno o ensino do inglês, ou seja, ele faz com que o ensino seja claro e siga etapas, que serão o ponto chave para falar uma língua corretamente. Ex: pronúncia e gramática.
O Rodrigo é muito atencioso e competente! A metodologia que ele elaborou facilita bastante a aprendizagem, além de permitir um rápido resultado no domínio da pronuncia e da comunicação em inglês. Super recomendo!
Recomendo bastante o Rodrigo como professor de inglês. Ele é uma pessoa muito atenciosa e conhece bastante a língua inglesa. Nós fizemos intercâmbio por um ano nos Estados Unidos e, devido ao seu nível avançado na língua, ele sempre me ajudou muito em atividades e contribuiu significativamente para melhorar meu vocabulário e minha pronúncia.
Comecei o curso de pronúncia com o Rodrigo há cerca de 3 meses e está sendo realmente mto bom perceber o aprendizado alcançado em pouco tempo. A metodologia adotada faz com que o aprendizado seja divertido e q percebamos claramente o avanço obtido, o que nos empolga a aprender cada vez mais!
