About Ofer
Originally born in Israel, and raised in Potomac, Maryland, Ofer Cohen is a freelance bass trombonist in the Los Angeles, CA area. An accomplished and adaptable musician, he has performed with the New England Repertory Orchestra (MA), Altoona Symphony Orchestra (PA), Williamsport Symphony Orchestra (PA), and Nittany Valley Symphony (PA). In addition he has performed in the pit orchestras for productions of Young Frankenstein, The Drowsy Chaperone, and Urinetown. Currently, Ofer has jus completed a Doctorate of Musical Arts at Boston University. Ofer holds a Performance Certificate at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, a Masters in Trombone Performance at the Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance from the Pennsylvania State University.

I like to start with the basics for each student. But each student is different and each lesson will be catered toward their needs and goals. I have many helpful warm up techniques and practice methods that I have developed over time. I am kind, patient and overall a goof human being.
